I think it is about time that i showed the labor of my work in blender. As you can see in this screenshot, what i basically ended up with was the gingerbread man with an egg for a head. This might be one of the cases where practices makes perfect (or at least bearable) - but i don't think i have the nerves for it - coding is much more result oriented to me.
I just got word that Peter Jones (http://pmade.org) is abandoning his projects due to lack of time (damn that real life stuff), and he is looking for new maintainers for the software. I don't think i'm ready to maintain something as netxx (also i don't think i have the networking skills required), but i've written that i would like to maintain SafePt (a c++ wrapper for POSIX threads) and sord (a platform independent directory lister), the interface designs for these projects (especially SafePt) are really nice, and looks as easy to use as the netxx library, Peter Jones really rocks as far as APIs go.
But i still have to wait for Peter Jones to report back.
In the university project we've started working on the AI part of the game, it looks doable, but there is still no way of telling if our AI will be any more clever than good'ole random()
