Blog/Podcasting-for-the-heck-of-it

...or rather for the fuck and shit of it, or so it seems.

Josh of We Hate Tech, Dylan knows how he found it, read my comment on their Google Talk "review" on their show episode 14 - and made it more clear what they meant by their comments, i think i will continue listeing to their podcast for a while more.

A podcast i won't listen to anymore, though, is the Infonomicon show, their presenter made a real point of being a selfish jerk on the last show. First he talked about how stupid the people living in New Orleans was, then he went on to how stupid Al-Jazeera is for doing a "decorate your home" show for people with houses hit by bombs. I haven't seen the show, but providing some "fun" in the lives of victims of war seems like a good thing to me.

And then all the, fuck, fuck, fuck, shit, shit shit in these two podcasts. I have nothing againts foul language, i think LUGradio is the funniest podcast on the web, but please ... can you be a bit more creative than just plain 'ole fuck! Fuck is usually used to emphasise a statement, but saying fuck twice every sentence just waters it out, and it becomes more like ... bla.bla.bla. or ehhhhhhh. Stop it! We Hate Tech has declared their sins though ;-)

I almost had given up on americans by then, but i found a new podcast called Off The Hook. I haven't quite figured out what it is all about, and the sound quality is so bad that you can't hear much of what is said. One of the things that i did pick up though, was a guy talking about Christiania, and it really surprised me how much this (presumably) american knew about this free "state-in-the-state".

Thanks, whoever that guy was, for proving that not all americans are Bush-loving self-centered warmongers.

Yeah ok, you know what i mean, emphasis improves understanding ... i might just add a fuck! to that sentence ;-)

Oh, by the way, does anybody know of a nice place to find podcasts, preferably one with a rating system to weed out the "one guy talking to himself" shows.

A last thing, Kevin Jenking commented on my Sucks article on the game programmer maillinglist, and he brought the problem of Lock-In up, so i added that to the list of points againts Virtools.
